I have a particular interest clinically and academically in the management of penile cancer and urethral stricture disease including urethroplasty. In addition I am able to assess and manage other andrological and general urological conditions. I have a regular general urology practice performing routine inguino-scrotal surgery and TURP.
I see greater than 50 new penile cancer patients per year. I perform primary treatment for penile cancer which includes organ sparing surgery and reconstruction, dynamic sentinel node sampling and radical inguinal lymph node dissection.
I am also one of two urologists performing penile cancer surgery and complex urethral reconstruction (urethroplasty) for urethral stricture disease in the South West of England at North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT). We are a high volume centre and take part in BAUS urethroplasty outcome data submission. NBT is the commisioned supra-regional penile cancer centre for the South West.
I completed my higher surgical training in Urology in the South West of England. Following which I completed a post CCT fellowship in Andrology and Genito-Urethral Reconstruction at St George's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London (2016-2018).
I was appointed Locum Consultant at the Royal United Hospital, Bath from April 2018 to December 2018 and subsequently appointed to the Bristol Urological Institute.
I am the Emergency Lead Urology North Bristol NHS Trust, Assigned Education Supervisor (AES) to two higher surgical trainees in Urology from South West Urology rotation and Academic Mentor to University of Bristol Medical Students.
I have been fortunate to have several opportunities to participate in work with UroLink, a Urological charity, providing education and expertise to a number of hospitals/institutions around the world. I have visited Moshi, Tanzania and Hawassa, Ethiopia so far and I hope to carry on this work in the future.
