Virtual consultations:
I believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to manage spine conditions, working closely with specialist physiotherapists and other health professionals including consultants in fields such as pain and rheumatology in order to provide the highest standard of holistic care for my patients.
I use spinal injections to help address pain in a less invasive manner and offer a full range of surgical treatments for degenerative spinal conditions including lumbar microdiscectomy, spinal decompression, minimally invasive spinal fusions, anterior cervical decompression and fusion/disc replacement and vertebroplasty.
I ensure my patients have a clear understanding of the conditions affecting them and the treatment options available so that they can make fully informed decisions about their care.
I was appointed to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in 2014 and have developed my NHS practice in all aspects of spinal surgery including cervical, thoracic and lumbar disc disease, adult and paediatric scoliosis, trauma and tumour reconstruction, with a keen interest in deformity surgery and minimally invasive techniques.
I completed my undergraduate training at Oxford University in 1999 and then qualified at Imperial College in 2002. I trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Eastern Region and undertook an International Spine Fellowship in Brisbane, Australia followed by a Neurosurgical Spine Fellowship at Addenbrookes University Hospital, Cambridge.
