I have been a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board since August 2022. In addition to managing all types of general and complex knee trauma, I have a special interest in all aspects of knee surgery for all ages.

I specialise in all aspects of knee surgery for all ages, regularly performing partial and total knee replacements, arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures, ligament reconstruction, ACL surgery, meniscal surgery, patellofemoral (kneecap) procedure and knee sports injury surgery.
I also have a special interest in knee preservation surgery, offering all types of osteotomy around the knee. 

I offer all types of knee surgery including total and partial knee replacements, ligament reconstruction, knee osteotomy, keyhole surgery, and cartilage regeneration procedures. I also offer revision ligament reconstruction.

Throughout my career I have undertaken various research projects with a variety of publications in orthopaedic journals. I have presented my work at both national and international conferences.
My latest research and interests are based around optimizing patient care and experiences while undergoing knee replacement surgery, with a drive towards day case and short stay arthroplasty.

I am a keen family man with a wife, three young children and prioritise family time when not working; including long walks, cycling and following the children with their activities.

I have always been a sports enthusiast, enjoying all sports but with a particular interest in rugby / football / golf and skiing, albeit in a spectator role predominantly these days.
