I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and my clinical practice consists entirely of surgery to the knee. My NHS practice is based at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where I receive referrals from GPs and complex referrals from other consultants.
I specialise in all aspects of knee surgery including: Arthroscopic knee surgery, Ligament reconstruction, Partial and total knee replacement, Surgical management of arthritis in the younger patient, Patellar stabilisation procedures and Revision knee surgery.
Originally from Worcestershire, I trained in Manchester and took an international Fellowship in Sports and Reconstructive Knee Surgery at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. I have worked as a Consultant at the renowned Wrightington Hospital before returning to the area with my family.
I have a keen interest in research and audit, having published work in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings.
I enjoy teaching and training having established and run the popular "Orthopaedics Made Easy" one-day course aimed at general practitioners through the Royal College of General Practitioners. I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Salford.

I have established close ties with rugby and cricket clubs from elite to amateur level. My own participation in many sports including rugby, cricket, tennis and skiing gives me empathy with those trying to recover to achieve their best performance.
