My particular interest is in the management of soft tissue problems including sports injuries. I am involved in research, teaching and lecturing in this field both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

My key areas of interest include arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and elbow. This includes knee ligament reconstruction, cartilage regeneration surgery including meniscal cartilage transplants in the knee. In the shoulder my key areas of interest are shoulder instability and rotator cuff injuries..

I have performed over 500 knee ligament reconstructions, over 1,000 other arthroscopic knee procedures and over 1,000 arthroscopic shoulder and elbow procedures in my NHS and private practice.

I am currently the Managing Partner of Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics LLP, a partnership of consultant orthopaedic surgeons based in South Wales. We specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of bone, joint and musculoskeletal disorders, including sports injuries, degenerative joint disease and arthritis.
