I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospital of Wales Teaching Hospital with specialist interests in minimal access surgery, endometriosis and infertility. I provide care for women with endometriosis as part of a multidisciplinary tertiary referral centre for endometriosis for all of Wales. My gynaecological practice is also focused upon providing assisted conception treatments and minimal access surgical treatments for infertility in IVF Wales.
I graduated from Cardiff in 1996 with several honours and awards. I have had extensive training and experience in minimal access surgery for endometriosis in Cardiff, Surrey University and also internationally in Atlanta USA. I hold the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists certificate in minimal access surgery and assisted conception. I have also completed minimal access surgery training to master's level. I teach advanced minimal access surgery through the Welsh Institute of Minimal Access Surgery, Royal College courses and internationally through the University of Athens.
I am known for having a very down to earth approach and believe communication and accessibility are vital to deliver first rate healthcare. I believe in providing an individualised, evidence based patient centred service.

I am married and have two young daughters aged three and five years. Outside my family life I enjoy the ups and downs of Welsh rugby. At home I am addicted to my garden, but English literature and piano playing are also great pleasures for me. For my more energetic interests I enjoy cycling, rock climbing and target shooting. I am also a treasurer for a national charity.
