My training and experience have afforded me excellent skills in all the disciplines within Otorhinolaryngology in both children and adults. My main areas of interest are otology (dealing with the discharging ear and hearing loss), voice disorders, nasal blockage and minimally invasive balloon surgery.
I perform a large number of adult and paediatric middle ear surgery preferring an intact canal wall technique. I perform surgical reconstruction of hearing loss using Ossiculoplasty and Stapedectomy techniques.
With careful patient selection and counselling, I have enjoyed excellent results for surgery in nasal blockage disorders and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery including balloon sinuplasty.
I carry out multi-professional voice assessment with a highly specialist speech therapist, utilising stroboscopy and flexible endoscopy techniques for a comprehensive evaluation. I offer microscope and endoscope assisted techniques for laryngeal surgery.
I am a consultant ENT surgeon at London North-West University NHS Trust incorporating Northwick Park, Central Middlesex, Ealing, Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals. I am an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for Imperial College School of Medicine and Associate Director of Medical Education.
I qualified from University College London and Middlesex Schools of Medicine, London, UK in 1996, having been awarded a scholarship to undertake a BSc in Anatomy with Neurosciences gaining First Class Honours. I have trained in all the eminent institutions in London including The Royal Marsden Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, acquiring skills and expertise in all aspects of otolaryngology to provide the highest level of care to adults and children with ENT disorders.
I maintain a lifetime commitment to excellence in clinical care and have published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and presented in national and international presentations.
In addition to my clinical work, I hold an honorary senior clinical lecturer position for Imperial College to reflect the lead role I have in teaching and training within the ENT department. I hold the position of Associate Director of Medical Education which is a trustwide role in maintaining and developing consultants supervising training doctors.
I am dedicated to excellence with a class leading approach towards patient care. I put both adults and children at ease providing a bespoke service keeping the patient fully informed about their treatment options.
