I have been a Consultant Pancreatobiliary Surgeon since 2018 and led the pancreatic unit from 2019-2024. I specialise in pancreatic, gallbladder and hernia surgery. I am one of the highest volume pancreatic surgeons in the UK performing around 50 major pancreatic resections a year. I also have extensive experience of managing gallbladder disease and hernias including groin, abdominal wall and incisional hernias.
I am a fully trained robotic surgeon performing surgery robotically, where appropriate.
I have a specialist interest in the management of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours and work as part of the European Neuroendocrine centre of excellence based at Liverpool University Hospitals.
I specialise in treatment of gallbladder, hernia and pancreatic diseases. This includes surgery of gallbladder disease, hernia surgery and treatment of pancreatic cancer, pancreatitis, and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours.
I have a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
I have performed over 300 major pancreatic resections, 500 gallbladder removals and over 50 complex abdominal wall reconstructions for abdominal hernia.
Since 2022 I have trained in robotic surgery and I now perform all types of surgery including pancreatic gallbladder and hernia surgery robotically where it is appropriate.
I am a member of the British Society of Surgical Oncology and the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.
I am a specialist robotic surgeon, applying to be an intuitive trainer in complex robotic pancreatic surgery.
