I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with a special interest in degenerative spinal pathologies (Lumbar, Cervical disc prolapse and stenosis causing sciatica, radiculopathy and myelopathy) and treatment with minimally invasive spinal surgery.
I specialise in: minimal access/minimally invasive spinal surgery (discectomy, decompression, disc replacement, instrumented stabilisation, instrumented & non-instrumented fusion operations, spinal injections, spinal revision surgery) for the following spinal conditions: degenerative spine disorders causing lower back and leg pain (sciatica), neck and arm pain (radiculopathy), sacroiliac joint pain, Cauda Equina Syndrome, cervical myelopathy, lumbar and cervical spine chronic pain, coccygeal pain, sports injuries, osteoporosis, and spinal injuries due to trauma.
After completing one year of spinal research fellow post in Queen's Medical Centre at Nottingham's Spinal Unit, during my specialist registrar training period, I worked in the prestigious spinal units of Southampton General Hospital, Bristol Southmead Hospital and Taunton General Hospital.
After successfully completing my fellowship exam, I completed a two year Senior Celtic Spine Fellowship in Cardiff and Exeter Hospitals, as well as six months in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
