I am a Consultant Hand, Wrist and Upper Limb Surgeon with a focus on nerve conditions, sports injuries, and arthritis affecting the hand, wrist, and elbow. I offer personalised care using advanced surgical techniques such as keyhole nerve release and total joint replacement for hand arthritis, helping patients regain strength and mobility with minimal recovery time.
My practice covers a wide range of upper limb conditions, from the routine to the complex. I perform endoscopic (keyhole) carpal tunnel release more frequently than any other surgeon in the UK. This minimally invasive approach helps reduce scar pain and enables quicker return to daily activities compared to traditional open surgery. I also provide wrist arthroscopy for ligament injuries, ganglion cyst removal, advanced correction for Dupuytren’s contracture, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for conditions such as tennis and golfer’s elbow.
For patients with severe thumb arthritis, I specialise in total joint replacement surgery that restores natural hand function and relieves pain. I also lead in forearm deformity correction, using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology to create customised implants tailored to each patient’s anatomy.
I graduated in medicine from the University of Cambridge and completed orthopaedic training at leading specialist centres in the UK. In 2018, I was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association Overseas Fellowship, refining my skills in wrist arthroscopy and complex hand injuries at top clinics across Asia. Since 2019, I have served as a Consultant in Orthopaedics and Trauma at University Hospitals Birmingham, managing both elective and trauma-related upper limb cases.
My clinical research includes leading a Ministry of Defence-funded multi-centre study on fracture fixation. I have authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and am a regular speaker at international conferences. My work in innovation ensures my patients have access to the most up-to-date and evidence-based surgical care.
From minimally invasive surgery to custom 3D-printed implants, I combine technical expertise with a patient-first philosophy to achieve outstanding outcomes. Whether addressing sports injuries or chronic conditions, I provide solutions that are tailored to your needs and designed to restore your quality of life.

I firmly believe a healthy work-life balance improves an individual's wellbeing. I am a table tennis player, rock climber and enjoy playing the cello and guitar. These activities have also enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the technical demands of keen sporting enthusiasts and musicians.
I also speak Chinese Mandarin.
