I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. My areas of specific interest are hip and knee replacement surgery (primary and revision) for a variety of underlying conditions including osteoarthritis. I also perform knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery).
I carry out my NHS work at Chapel Allerton hospital where I was appointed in 2012. I am a trainer for junior orthopaedic surgeons at Leeds Teaching hospitals and an instructor on regional training courses.
I was trained in Yorkshire as a registrar and then undertook additional fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at Warwick, York and Leeds. I practice enhanced recovery techniques in my joint replacements.
I have published and presented research in international journals and meetings.
