MA MB BChir FRCOphth
Specialises in
I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist. I specialise in general ophthalmology with specific interests in retinal disorders, eye cancers and cataract surgery.
As well as providing comprehensive care for a wide range of eye problems such as cataracts, I am also able to treat patients with more rare retinal and ocular oncology problems. My three years of sub-specialty fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia in vitreo-retinal surgery and ocular oncology have provided me with this expertise.
As well as my work at Spire Gatwick Park, I am a substantive consultant ophthalmologist at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Barts Health NHS Trust.
I am heavily involved in ophthalmic research and have published multiple papers and book chapters. I am College Tutor at the Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) deanery, responsible for the training of ophthalmic trainee doctors at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS trust.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Guy Negretti at Spire include:
