Virtual consultations:
I have been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for more that six years and I am a specialist in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the management of benign gynaecological conditions.
In my work I regularly perform laparoscopic and open surgery hysterectomy, excision of endometriosis, ovarian cysts, diagnostics, female sterilisation and much more. I have significant experience in hysteroscopic procedures such as removal of polyps, resection of fibroids, resection of uterine septa and endometrial ablation.
During my specialist training, I also completed additional training at Birmingham Women’s Hospital in advanced laparoscopic surgery which made me proficient in complex gynaecological surgery.
I hold an NHS post at Barnet Hospital which is part of the Royal Free NHS Trust and manage the endometriosis patients on this site. I regularly performing laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic (placing a camera in the uterus) surgical procedures and I am passionate about minimal access surgery. I have extensive experience in managing many gynaecological conditions which include endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, pain with intercourse and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). All of which I manage regularly in my NHS practice.
I am currently the clinical director for women's services at Barnet Hospital which is a very busy unit in terms of both gynaecology and obstetrics.
In addition to my clinical work I have been the clinical director for women’s services at the Barnet site since 2017. During my tenure I have overseen many service improvements and recently have worked closely with the North Central London CCG to develop sector wide service changes.
I am also proud to be a staff governor of the Royal Free NHS Trust. In this role I attend regular governor meetings with the executive board and discuss various issues at the trust as well as raise concerns. Also, as an elected governor I have been assigned to sit on the ‘Population Health Committee’. It is a great honour to be given this opportunity and I look forward to the challenges it brings.
