I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bristol since 2007. My NHS practice is based at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead.
I trained at Nottingham University before undertaking my basic surgical training and then specialist orthopaedic higher surgical training in the London region. I have undertaken Fellowships at the Cape Shoulder Institute, Cape Town and The Australian Institute of Musculoskeletal Surgery, Sydney with a focus on the arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries.
I have an active research interest and have published articles on a number of subjects including sports injuries, joint replacement and hospital infection.

I am married with two sons. I maintain a keen sporting interest and have been involved competitively in a number of sports including athletics and rugby. I have international qualifications in sailing and scuba diving and I am a qualified ski instructor.
