"The whole team at Spire Gatwick park hospital is dedicated to provide a world class service to all my patients. I love working here as everybody is so welcoming and supportive."
I am a vastly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist in Surrey and west Sussex. Over the last 33 years I have specialised in many eye conditions and treatments, my focuses are on cataract, oculoplastics, dry eye, blepharitis, floaters, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
I specialise in routine and complex cataract surgery and have performed over 8,000 procedures. Each year, I have three trainees learning the art of cataract removal surgery under my care. I routinely perform eyelid cyst removal and correct eyelid deformities in my private practice. I have been managing patients with dry eyes, watery eyes and blepharitis as per international standards.
I have been practising privately in addition to my NHS clinics as a consultant for over a decade. I qualified in 1985 and had sub-specialty fellowship training at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Medical Retina at Bristol Eye Hospital. I learnt to use the latest techniques and instruments to provide the highest professional standards for all my patients.
As a Lead Consultant in medical retina service at SASH, I have performed treatments such as intravitreal injection therapy for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular occlusions, laser treatment for diabetic eye diseases and managed many other retinal conditions like uveitis and floaters. These proficiencies in medical retina diseases, I use to manage my private patients and those referred by other colleagues.
