I have been a Consultant General and Colorectal (Bowel) Surgeon for eight years. I have a wide scope of practice but specialise in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and have a specialist interest in bowel cancer surgery.

I specialise in general and colorectal surgery and have an interest in the diagnosis of abdominal pain and the management of bowel cancer, gallbladder problems, hernias, constipation and disorders of the anus/ back passage, skin lumps such as lipomas, abcesses and sebaceous cysts as well as a varity of other less common abdominal problems.

I pride myself in my communication skills concentrating on explaining things in a way that patients can easily understand.

Feedback from my patients at Spire Wellesley Hospital:

November 2021: 'The consultant gave a clear explanation. He listened to my concerns and put me at ease.'

December 2021: 'Mr Wright is caring, thorough and made me feel like I was his number one priority. When things didn't go as planned he dropped by my room to apologize and made me feel like I was always in good hands. He also reached out to me on a number of occasions to clarify certain things and when I needed help after my operation he was right there on the phone. I wouldn't hesitate to come to him and the Spire Wellesley again'.
