Virtual consultations:
I trained as a doctor in London and as a surgeon in Kingston on Thames, Salisbury and Southampton. My higher surgical training in plastic surgery was in Salisbury, Cambridge, Norwich and London. On completing my training I did specialist fellowships at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and the Institute Currie in Paris. I have been to the USA to study cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery in Houston, Dallas and Atlanta.
As a private cosmetic and plastic surgeon I believe in an individualist approach. Unlike most surgery the outcome in cosmetic surgery is almost entirely visual. The key to excellent results in cosmetic surgery is exploring with you what you would like to change and then explaining to you what I expect I can achieve for you through surgery (or other treatments).
I hold outpatient consultation clinics at Spire Portsmouth on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays and I see patients in Wickham on alternate Mondays. I am also happy to arrange ad hoc consultations to suit your diary.
I am unusual for a plastic surgeon in that I am an integral part of an NHS breast unit. I carry out diagnostic breast work and breast cancer surgery although the main demand on my NHS time is for plastic and reconstructive surgery of the breast.
Research interests: The use of plastic surgery techniques to improve the outcome from breast cancer surgery. Translational oncology with particular reference to skin cancer and melanoma. The reshaping of ear cartilage to correct prominent ears.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Jeremy Hurren at Spire include:

Born in London, I was raised in Surrey and Berkshire. I have been a consultant at Spire Portsmouth and Southampton since 2001.
I am married to Abigail. We have three wonderful boys who are fast outgrowing us. We are all outnumbered by our pets who range from a 10 stone Newfoundland dog to two 50-year-old tortoises, with various cats and reptiles in between. I have a love of family holidays, particularly skiing and visiting Cornwall for surfing, I enjoy music and outdoor activities, especially walking, cycling and sailing.
