I am a Consultant Soft Tissue Knee Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. I am an expert in knee ligament, cartilage and knee replacement surgery with extensive experience training in prestigious institutions in the UK and abroad.

I undertook orthopaedic training on the Nottingham rotation and completed fellowships in Derby, Coventry, Oxford and Australia prior to returning to Nottingham to commence my consultant post. I have developed unique expertise in managing sports injuries around the knee and am passionate about getting people back to sports and an active lifestyle.

I was also granted multiple traveling fellowships and have visited several world leading surgeons and institutions in the US including Dr Freddie Fu, Dr Volker Musahl, Dr Kevin Stone and Dr Rob LaPrade to further advance my skills and knowledge and learn new techniques.

I specialise in knee surgery with specific interest in ligament, meniscus, patella stabilisation and knee preservation surgery. I’m also an advocate for partial knee replacement surgery whenever possible, reserving total knee replacement in those who really need it.

I perform around 100 ACL reconstructions, 100 meniscal repairs and 30 multiligament knee reconstructions per year. I have a busy practice in complex ligament and knee preservation surgery such as osteotomy and revision ligament reconstructions and accept referrals from other colleagues in the hospital and in the region.
