I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in orthopaedic surgery for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, and general orthopaedic surgery.
After medical school and postgraduate training in orthopaedics in India, I gained further orthopaedic training at centers of excellence at Liverpool, Exeter and London. I did my specialist training in south London and completed my FRCS qualifications in 2013.
My complex trauma, shoulder and elbow and wrist and hand Fellowships were completed at King’s College Hospital, London, followed by additional experience at the Shoulder Fellowship in Nottingham.
At Basildon University Hospital, I am the Lead for neck of femur fractures. I am a keen educator and have been appointed as Clinical/Educational Supervisor for junior orthopaedic trainees. I am also an appointed Associate Professor in my specialty at the New Vision University, Georgia.
With the objective to offer my patients the best and latest care, I have kept abreast with the latest arthroscopic techniques, shoulder replacements and other advances in upper limb surgery.
I offer my patients ‘awake shoulder surgery technique’, thus minimizing the risks of general anaesthesia in patients with complex health issues. It is important to me that I have developed a well-rounded and holistic approach towards my patients’ health and care, keeping in line with the GMC Good Medical Practice.
