MS, MCh (Neurosurgery), FRCS (Surgical Neurology)
I have had extensive experience of over two decades in managing a range of neurosurgical conditions affecting the brain and spine. These include head injuries, brain haemorrhage, stroke, brain aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, hydrocephalus, various brain and spine tumours. In addition, I treat more common conditions such as cervical and lumbar disc diseases, spinal canal stenosis and other degenerative spinal conditions.
I completed my initial medical education and specialist neurosurgical training in Western India, and have been working in the NHS since 1995. I am a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of England and passed my inter-collegiate neurosurgical specialty board examination in 1997. From 2000, I am employed in the NHS as a Consultant Neurosurgeon.
I have published over 80 academic articles over the years. I am an Honorary Lecturer with University of Sheffield and am regularly involved in various teaching activities within the UK and overseas.
I am regularly instructed by legal teams in the British Isles and abroad for expert medicolegal neurosurgical opinions in personal injury, negligence cases and disciplinary matters involving individual practitioners.
