I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist with expertise in medical retina, intravitreal injections and cataract surgery. Since 2018 I have been the Lead for the Medical Retina and Intravitreal injection service at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and regularly perform high volume cataract surgery.

I care for patients with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusion, inherited retinal disorders and any other general retinal conditions using the most up-to-date treatments. I perform intravitreal injections and laser treatment for retinal and macular disease and following cataract surgery. I perform volume small incision cataract surgery and have extensive experience in operating on patients with underlying retinal diseases.

After completing my six years of ophthalmology training in Yorkshire in 20I5 I undertook fellowship training in cataract surgery, retinal disease and uveitis at St James’s Hospital, Addenbrooke’s and Moorfields Eye Hospital prior to starting my consultant posts in East Anglia.

I lead cataract surgery courses for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists as part of the national microsurgical skills faculty. I run the East Anglian Retinal Group meetings and I was previously the regional laser training simulation lead. I continue to deliver training and assessment of Ophthalmologists on the East of England specialist trainee rotation and lead fellowship training in medical retina and cataract surgery. I am principal investigator for several research studies on topics such as age-related macular degeneration, hydroxychloroquine toxicity and sickle cell retinopathy.
