Specialises in
I am a highly esteemed and experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in lower limb arthroplasty and knee sports injuries. I specialise in knee replacement surgery, partial knee replacement surgery, sports injuries, anterior cruciate ligament injuries and reconstruction, hip replacement surgery, and knee arthroscopy for joint preservation.
I'm a high volume surgeon and routinely perform over 150 joint replacements every year in my practice.
I moved to the UK in 2005 and undertook my postgraduate surgical training in the best hospitals in London and Liverpool. My orthopaedic training was at the North East London training hospitals, including the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and The Royal London Hospital. To gain further expertise in complex hip and knee surgery, I undertook two further years of fellowship training at the South West London elective orthopaedic centre and The Barts Health NHS.
My current NHS practise is at the Practice Plus Group Hospitals in Ilford and Gillingham. I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon in 2020 at Barking, Havering and Redbridge hospitals where I worked to improve patient care during the covid pandemic. I have, thus far, gained an extensive amount of experience when it comes to using conventional and robotic surgical techniques to perform complex knee replacements, ACL reconstructions and a variety of different soft tissue-related procedures in and around the area of the knee.
I am keenly involved in training and work as faculty in Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) teaching courses and I'm an examiner for medical students at Queen Mary University of London.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Madhusudhan Raj Nannaparaju at Spire include:

In my free time I like to unwind by spending time with my family, playing and watching cricket.
