I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in unicompartmental knee replacement, total knee replacement, revision knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, meniscal repair, knee ligament surgery, ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction, knee osteotomy, patella instability or patella stabilisation surgery. I graduated from medical school at the University of Oxford and pursued both my early and my specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in the West Midlands.
I have always been active in research and completed my PhD at the University of Warwick in 2009 where I was able to look in detail at factors that affect outcome after major knee surgery. As an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Warwick, my research work continues and I pride myself on being able to use the highest quality evidence available to inform the decision making in my clinical practice.
I returned to Oxford for knee fellowship training where I was able to focus my expertise such that my practice is exclusively based on problems affecting the knee, offering clinics and performing operations in both Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. I regularly perform knee ligament surgery, meniscal surgery and joint replacement surgery including revision knee surgery.
It gives me immense satisfaction to get to know and partner with my patients on the journey to get them back to the quality of life that they desire.
