Mr Martin Dodd

Consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon

MBCHB, BDS, FDSRCS, FRCS

My special interests within oral and maxillofacial surgery include temporomandibular joint surgery. I am one of a small number of surgeons in the UK performing total prosthetic temporomandibular joint surgery and helped to design the national audit database for this surgery. I perform arthroscopy and open TMJ surgery. I also perform orthognathic surgery including virtual surgical planning.

I write questions for the intercollegiate exit fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery MCQ and and review scientific articles for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I am an honorary clinical lecturer at Liverpool University, a module lead for the MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and an instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support.
