I completed my specialist surgical training in London and the South of England, before undertaking an advanced fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia - internationally recognised for its expertise in arterial coronary revascularization and the Ross procedure. My NHS practice is at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital as a substantive Consultant Cardiac Surgeon.
I offer the full complement of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, redo/high risk operations and consistently achieve excellent results with high levels of patient satisfaction. My subspecialty interests include coronary bypass surgery with arteries (improves long term survival in selected cases), minimally invasive valve surgery, major aortic (root, arch, valve repair) surgery, and the Ross procedure.
I have a dedicated approach, listen to patients' needs and concerns, and individualise all treatment plans.
