I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with special interests in foot and ankle surgery.
I have specialised and trained in orthopaedics since 1992, gaining extensive experience in general orthopaedics, trauma surgery, sports injuries and foot and ankle surgery. I graduated in 1985 and completed my FRCS from Edinburgh in 1992.
I underwent my specialist training in the South West Thames region with placements at Epsom, Redhill, Mayday University Hospital (Croydon) and St George's Hospital, London. I carried out further research in foot and ankle surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. I obtained my MSc from University College London in 1997.
My specialist practice entails comprehensive foot and ankle surgery, including reconstruction/correction of deformities such as bunions and arthroscopic ankle surgery.
My general orthopaedic practice covers knee and hip surgery, including joint replacement, and treatment of common hand conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture and trigger finger. I am actively involved in the teaching and training of junior doctors and specialist registrars at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

I am a keen badminton player and enjoy long-distance walking. I'm also an enthusiastic follower of many sports, particularly football and cricket. Away from sport, I take an interest in current affairs and economics. I am married, with three children.
