My areas of clinical interest include: impacted wisdom teeth, dental alveolar problems, reconstructive surgery, TMJ surgery, soft tissue disorders, head and neck surgical oncology, skin lesions, skin tumours/cancer/oncology, oral cancer, dentoalveolar surgery, head and neck cancer and trauma.
I qualified in dentistry from the University of London in 1984, gaining my Dental Fellowship in 1986. I qualified in medicine in 1993 at the Royal London Hospital. After medical school I completed higher surgical training in maxillofacial surgery at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. I later gained my Masters in Surgery in 2004. My higher degree was based on research into lymphatic drainage patterns and diagnostic intervention in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
I am the current tumour working group chair for head and neck cancer in South West London and clinical director for cancer at St George's Hospital.
