Specialises in
I was born in Leicestershire, educated at Loughborough Grammar School and went to Leeds Medical School. I joined Frimley Park Hospital in September 2010 as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery.
I graduated from medical school in 1996 and having joined the army, spent two years in Germany looking after the soldiers and families of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. I have subsequently served as an orthopaedic surgeon in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.
I carried out my basic surgical training at Frimley Park Hospital, before entering higher specialist orthopaedic training in Wessex and Oxford. I am fellowship trained, having undertaken specialist foot and ankle fellowships in Oxford, at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and in Portsmouth. I have been lectured on foot and ankle surgery both nationally and internationally.
I have published papers both on foot and ankle surgery and trauma within international journals. My special interests are in arthroscopic surgery, forefoot surgery, rheumatoid arthritis and sports injuries. I cover all aspects of foot and ankle surgery in my NHS practice, and am part of a multi disciplinary team involved with treating diabetic foot problems. I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and the British Orthopaedic Association.
