I am a double-fellowship trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with subspecialty interest in shoulder and elbow surgery at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in London, United Kingdom. I provide general trauma and full comprehensive shoulder and elbow services for degenerative disorders, sport injuries and complex trauma. My specialist interests are in shoulder and elbow arthroscopy, open joint reconstruction and joint replacement.
I qualified from the University of Pécs Medical School in Pécs, Hungary then completed my postgraduate specialist training in trauma and orthopaedics in the East of England (Cambridge) rotation. Following this I undertook the prestigious Calvert Shoulder fellowship in London and two years of subspecialist fellowship training (in France: Lyon and Toulouse; and then in Sheffield, UK). I have also visited number of leading, world-renowned shoulder and elbow specialists in Europe (18 surgeons across six countries), over a three-month period, to experience other healthcare systems at clinical and managerial level.
I cover all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including full comprehensive shoulder and elbow services for degenerative disorders, sport injuries and complex trauma. My specialist interests are in shoulder and elbow arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), open joint reconstruction and joint replacement:

I am the clinical lead for the Virtual Fracture Clinic (VFC) and the Shoulder and Elbow unit at Barnet Hospital, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in London, United Kingdom.
In recognition of my clinical and research contributions I was elected as a Member of the Committee of the prestigious European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow, alongside world-renowned surgeons.
I am an active British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS), British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES), European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC/ESSSE) member. I was awarded the winner of the BESS Travelling Fellowship 2014, as well as the Paul Calvert Research Paper Prize, the ISAKOS Upper Limb Travelling Fellowship 2016 and several other international and national awards.
I am a keen teacher and trainer of GPs, physiotherapists, junior doctors and orthopaedic trainees. I am one of the course convenors of the ORUK London Shoulder and Elbow FRCS(Orth) course and I was recently awarded twice as Trainer of the Year of the prestigious Middlesex and UCLH Orthopaedic Deanery and Society in 2021 then of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore Training Rotation and Seddon Society in 2022. I am also a member of the UK Watanabe Club, which is a group of shoulder surgeons with a unified interest in sharing experiences and techniques with the next generation. I am consistently involved in research (which has led to an MD degree), with several publications in peer-review journals, book chapters and annual presentations at various scientific meetings. To maintain my professional development, I regularly attend and teach (as a Faculty member) at national and international courses, to keep my knowledge and skills up-to-date.
