I graduated from the University of Birmingham and completed my Senior House Officer training at The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London, including time spent on the Professorial Unit. I then trained as a Specialist Registrar in Eastern England, including Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and the NNUH.

I completed my sub-specialist training as a Head and Neck Fellow in Melbourne, Australia at the Western Hospital and the Petermac Cancer Institute. Here I gained a wide exposure in the management and surgery of many complex head and neck cancers. In 2011 I proudly received a 'CARES' Award from the Western Hospital.

I am a keen teacher, acknowledged in 2019 when I received the Silver award for Clinical Teaching at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As well as several other awards, including Clinical Tutor of the Year in 2010 and 2011 at Western Clinical School, University of Melbourne. I have also written various book chapters and co-author of a book for surgical training called “Bullet Points in ENT” first published in 2014.
