Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon (eye surgeon) specialising in cataract surgery and vitreo-retinal surgery, since 2016. I work at Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals) and also in private practice.
I graduated as a doctor in 2002 with a double distinction and multiple academic prizes. After completion of my ophthalmology training, I had further advanced subspecialty surgical training in Southampton and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
I've had the privilege of teaching cataract surgery to ophthalmologists on the East of England Training Programme. I also mentor a vitreo-retinal surgical fellow to develop advanced surgical skills.
I am an Affiliated Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge and I teach (“supervise”) neuroscience to second year medical students.
I have 20 years of experience treating people with eye problems, and I have performed several thousand cataract operations and vitrectomy procedures. My surgical success rates are extremely high (99.58%) and are available online via nodaudit.org.uk.
My aim is to deliver personalised care for my patients, with the latest technology, to ensure the best possible outcomes.
