I qualified from Birmingham University Medical School and trained in general surgery largely in the West Midlands region. I undertook additional training in Western Australia, prior to commencing his NHS consultant post. This exposed me to educational opportunities not available in the UK, such as the routine performance of sentinel node biopsy, a procedure which is only now becoming standard NHS practice.

I subsequently then became the lead clinician for the development of this service in Walsall, I was appointed Consultant General and Breast Surgeon in Walsall Manor Hospital in May 2005. Since then I have been instrumental in the reorganisation of the Breast Service and represent Walsall at the Network Site Specific Group for Breast Cancer.

I am now the Lead Clinician for Breast Cancer at Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust and maintain my general surgical skills with a regular outpatient clinic, operating list and on-call commitments. I offer a full range of breast and general surgical procedures.
