BSc, MSC, MBA
I offer quality private diagnostic assessments and comprehensive rehabilitation for hearing, balance and tinnitus difficulties, along with provision of quality private digital hearing aids. I also offer hearing protection for both industry and leisure.
I have a particular passion and advocacy for children and adults with intellectual and learning disabilities, including severe challenging behaviour, mental health difficulties and dual sensory impairments. I have always aimed to raise the standards of care provided through a patient centered approach to delivery.
I have worked in audiology for over 20 years, initially training to be an audiologist at the Royal Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in Shrewsbury. I then completed a masters degree in audiology at Manchester University in 1996, completed my Certificate of Audiological Competence in 1999 and then moved to North Staffordshire as a Consultant Audiological Scientist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. There I developed, co-ordinated and ran district hearing and balance services for adults and children.
I completed a masters in business administration in 2004 at Staffordshire University. In 2005, I left to work for the University of Manchester, leading audiology research networks and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate audiology students.
In 2009 I was honoured to be elected President of the British Academy of Audiology, of which I have been a member throughout my career.
