"Working at Spire St Anthony's Hospital is a privilege for me; the staff are very kind and supportive, always willing to help with any enquiries. The working environment is very clean and well organised."
I have been working in the audiology field for over 20 years. I started as an Assistant Audiologist at Surrey Primary Care Trust NHS.
I have a comprehensive knowledge in clinical physiology and audiology, and hearing aids technology. I completed my training in Clinical Physiology and Audiology at The Middlesex University in London in 2009, followed by BSc (Hons) in Hearing Science from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. I also completed a BSc (Hons) Degree from Open University, where I studied modules relevant to employment in health, social work and social care. I have a broad knowledge to perform audiological assessment and hearing aids fitting, my excellent social skills help me to identify and deal with patients with hearing impairment, tinnitus and other auditory disorders. I also see children for paediatric hearing assessment.
I am a member of the Registered Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) who govern the NHS audiologists. I am also a hearing aid dispenser, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I was a Team Leader of Audiology Services for an independent sector organisation, based in South East of England, providing Audiology Services for NHS patients. Currently I am working as a Senior Clinical Specialist Audiologist at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.
In 2017 I launched my private practice: Audiology Plus LTD, an award-winning private hearing clinic. My private clinics are based at Ashtead Hospital, Spire St Anthony’s, Fountain Therapies in Handcross and soon to open another in Hurst Green near Oxted. The aim of my company is to make a difference to patients with hearing impairment so that they may live life without restrictions.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Piotr Swiatek at Spire include:
