MBBS, MSc, FRCS (Plast)
I graduated in medicine and surgery from St Thomas' Hospital, London and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. I was awarded the Smith & Nephew Surgical Prize and a gold medal for a dissertation on 'Evolution of Sutures in Surgery'. Higher training in plastic and reconstructive surgery was undertaken in London, East Grinstead and Chelmsford. This involved specialist exposure in reconstructive surgery of the breast, face, hands and trunk.
International fellowships were undertaken in USA and France. Formal aesthetic surgery training was acquired at The Royal College of Surgeons approved institutions, including Wellington Hospital and King Edward VII Hospital, London.
I have also been awarded several research and clinical grants from the British Assocation of Plastic Surgeons. I am a lecturer in aesthetic surgery at the University of London and have also written several papers in peer-reviewed journals including treatment of skin lesions, common hand problems and difficult scars.
