I am a UK-trained specialist hip and knee surgeon with more than 25 years of experience.
I am an expert in joint reconstruction and replacement including primary and revision hip replacement, total and partial knee replacements and robotic-assisted surgery using the MAKO Smart Robotics System.
Forming a critical part of both NHS and private regional multi-disciplinary teams in arthroplasty, I am regularly sought out to give opinions on complex cases. Last year I performed more than 500 hip and knee replacements putting me in the top percent of UK orthopaedic surgeons according to the National Joint Registry.
I have a special interest in trauma and have extensive experience treating fractured neck of femurs (broken hips) and injuries and fractures all over the body. I also have a large Medicolegal practice dealing with injuries and cases of medical negligence.
My work in orthopaedics in the NHS over the last 20 years has consistently been recognised. I am now one of the clinical leads of Heathwood Hospital, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust which is now one of the largest joint replacement units in the UK. I lead the Enhanced Recovery Programme, Same-Day Discharge Pathway, and the Post-Covid Recovery Plan. I was awarded an NHS Clinical Excellence Award by my local trust in March 2023.
Originally from New Delhi, India I trained at the Royal London Hospital and the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. After finishing my training in 2003 I was appointed as a consultant at Wexham Park Hospital, Berkshire with a special interest in lower limb joint replacements and complex trauma.

I am originally of Indian origin, came to the UK in 1990 and was trained in North London and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and Royal London Hospital. I have two teenage children and have a keen interest in sports and still play cricket, golf and tennis and also run an under eleven cricket team in Middlesex county.
