I have been working as a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon for the last 18 years. I specialise in vascular and endovascular surgery with specific interest in minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, as well as endovascular repair for complex abdominal aortic aneurysms and carotid endarterectomy under local anaesthetic.
I am specialised in minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins under local and general anaesthetic and short and long term management of deep vein thrombosis. I have also specialised in treating TIAs and carotid endarterectomies under local anaesthetic.
I also have a special interest in treating thoracic outlet syndrome, which requires first rib resection. This is beside all major complex procedures such as endovascular repair (keyhole) of abdominal aortic aneurysms and peripheral vascular disease and atherosclerosis.
To date I have done numerous operations for varicose veins treatments and endovascular repairs for abdominal aortic aneurysms.
I have also worked as a clinical advisor for NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) on new devices which gave me increased knowledge into minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins as well as anti DVT protection devices.
I am the Ex-Clinical Director for the South Mersey Arterial Centre based at the Countess of Chester Hospital. I am the Ex-Chairman for the Thrombosis Group at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Ex-Secretary for Mersey Vascular Group.
