I am an NHS Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Lister Hospital, Stevenage and New QE II, Welwyn Garden City. I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon for 26 years.

I carry out cataract surgery using premium, toric and multifocal intraocular lenses in patients with or without retinal disorders. My busy clinical practice is complemented by my involvement in teaching and research. I lecture widely to doctors, surgeons, patient groups, GPs and other health professionals. I also publish research work and articles in international peer-reviewed journals.

I completed my basic ophthalmic specialist training at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology, UK, followed by training at the University Hospital of Leicester. My subspecialty training culminated in a two-year retina and uveitis at the prestigious University Hospital of Cambridge and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

I am dedicated to ensuring that the services I offer are safe, effective, well-led, caring and responsive.

I specialise in ophthalmic surgery with specific interest in cataract surgery with premium, toric and multifocal lenses in patients with or without retinal problems, intravitreal injections, laser for the retina and glaucoma and performing minor lid procedure in addition to blepharoplasty.

To date I have performed over 4,500 cataract surgeries with intraocular lens implants, 4,000 retinal procedures, 2,000 laser to the retina, 580 glaucoma procedures, 140 oculoplastic procedures and over 500 minor lid procedures.
