I am an enthusiastic general and Colorectal Consultant Surgeon working at Tameside and Glossop NHS Hospital, as well as Spire Manchester Hospital.
My primary interests include general and colorectal surgery, with a strong focus on laparoscopic techniques. I specialise in treating anorectal diseases, including anal abscesses, pilonidal disease, anal fissures, and perianal fistulas. I provide a comprehensive service for haemorrhoids, including THD, banding, and haemorrhoidectomy.
I also specialise in bowel cancer investigations and management, as well as treating inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
My general surgery practice includes managing gallstone disease with laparoscopic cholecystectomy and performing both laparoscopic and open adult hernia repairs (abdominal wall, groin, incisional, and parastomal hernias).
I am JAG accredited for upper GI endoscopy and lower GI scopes (flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy) and perform these procedures regularly.
I underwent basic surgical training in Manchester, completed my research and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in Hull, and received specialist surgical training in Glasgow. Additionally, I completed a laparoscopic fellowship in Newcastle.
