I am a Consultant General Surgeon with a Specialist interest in Vascular Surgery and offer a comprehensive range of Vascular Surgery investigations and procedures including aortic, carotid and lower limb arterial surgery.

I have a special interest and am an expert in the treatment of varicose veins offering minimally invasive treatments such as laser, radiofrequency and foam sclerotherapy treatments as well as traditional open surgery depending on patient needs.

As a Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist interest in Vascular Surgery, I provide a comprehensive array of vascular investigations and procedures. This includes aortic, carotid, and lower limb arterial surgeries. I have a particular interest and expertise in treating varicose veins, offering minimally invasive options including laser, radiofrequency ablation and foam sclerotherapy treatments, in addition to traditional open surgery based on patient needs.

I specialise in varicose vein surgery and offer a full range of treatments including minimally invasive surgery using modern techniques often not requiring general anaesthetic. I also offer a full range of arterial surgery including open and endovascular treatments for aortic, carotid and lower limb disease. I am also a trainer to registrars in the various techniques for treatment of varicose veins.

I specialise in the creation of vascular access patients heading towards or who are currently undertaking renal dialysis.

Additionally I specialise in inguinal, paraumbilical and incisional hernia surgery offering day case repair for most types of simple hernia. I also offer a comprehensive lump and bumps and ingrown toenail treatments.

As a specialist in varicose vein surgery, I offer a comprehensive range of treatments, including minimally invasive procedures that often do not require general anaesthetic. My expertise extends to all aspects of arterial surgery, including open and endovascular treatments for aortic, carotid, and lower limb diseases.

I trained in the Oxford and London Deaneries including the Royal Free Hospital and undertook research at Yale University, Connecticut.

I also train registrars in various techniques for treating varicose veins.

To date I have performed over 400 varicose vein procedures and 200 hernia repairs thus far in my NHS and Private Practice career. In addition to this I have undertaken over 100 carotid artery procedures, and over 150 lower limb procedures for arterial disease.

Throughout my NHS and Private Practice career, I have performed over 300 varicose vein procedures, utilising modern, minimally invasive techniques that often do not require general anaesthetic. Additionally i have undertaken over 100 Laparoscopic Dialysis Catheter insertions and 100 Arteriovenous fistula creation for Renal patients.

I am the Clinical Governance Lead in my NHS practice working closely with nursing and management colleagues to ensure oversight and optimal standards within my department. I am also an NHS England appointed Medical Examiner regularly undertaking scrutiny of patient records to ensure best possible care has been undertaken.
