I have over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, with my expertise being in spinal surgery. Following the fellowships in renowned hospitals like Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Norwich University Hospitals and Queens Medical Centre Nottingham, I gained extensive training dealing with a variety of degenerative spinal disorders, trauma and tumours.
I specialise in general orthopaedic trauma and spine surgery with a specific interest in degenerative spinal disorders, trauma and tumours of the spine. Also, I perform pain management procedures for spinal disorders such as image guided injections.
Currently, I am working as a Consultant in General Trauma and Spine Surgery at the South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
I believe in a patient-centred approach, where I provide immense importance to listen to my patients and treat them to the best of my ability.
I have an honorary contract for post graduate teaching for Dundee and Teesside Universities.
