I am a consultant Orthopaedic (hip and knee) surgeon. I also trained in sports and exercise medicine and regularly treat sports injuries of the hip and knee region. I have a special interest in treating cartilage injuries, have done extensive research in cartilage regeneration strategies and have several publications in reputed international journals.

I carry out over 200 hip and knee replacement surgeries each year including minimally invasive hip replacements, revision hip surgery, primary total knee replacement surgery, partial knee replacement surgery and knee revision surgery. I have also performed over 1000 knee arthroscopic (key hole) surgeries including cartilage operations, meniscal repair procedures, Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions etc.

My NHS practice is at the Buckinghamshire Trust. I am also an Honorary Associate Professor at the St. George's School of Medicine, Granada; Associate Editor for the International Journal of Orthopaedic Sciences and I have been a reviewer for The Bone & Joint Journal since 2012.

After obtaining the primary medical degree and Master of Science degree in Orthopaedics, I carried out a clinical research fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. During this period, I developed a special interest in novel procedures to repair joint cartilage and cartilage implantation technique. I completed the Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the prestigious North-West London Thames training programme (St. Mary’s –Charing Cross Rotation). Subsequently, I undertook subspecialty training by doing several reputable fellowships including the Lower Limb Fellowship (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital), British Orthopaedic Association's Transitional Fellowship in hip and knee surgery (Wycombe and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital), AO Foundation’s Trauma Travelling Fellowship (University Clinic Muenster, Germany) and the Trauma Fellowship at St Mary’s Major Trauma Centre in London.
