I am a highly specialised orthopaedic consultant who provides dedicated and exclusive paediatric and young adult orthopaedic services to London and the surrounding counties of Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. I have trauma and limb reconstruction fellowships from centers of excellence including The Alfred in Melbourne and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, Australia. I also have specialty fellowships in paediatric orthopaedics and trauma from Birmingham Children’s Hospital and King’s College, London.
To date, I have performed over 6,000 operations on children and young adults over a 25 year period in both my NHS and private practice. My experience spans over 25 years and 3 Continents. I deal with paediatric/adult fractures and sports injuries. I also specialise in lower limb issues (including angular malalignments, knee instability and hyper mobility injuries) and have a special interest in paediatric hips (including Perthes disease, gait disorders and joint instabilities). Most of my frequent consultations include paediatric and young adult foot/ankle problems. I also deal with orthopaedic management of children with disability due to Neuromuscular disease, Cerebral palsy, Skeletal Dysplasias, paediatric upper limb deformity, malunions and hand disorders.
I qualified as an orthopaedic surgeon in 1998 in India and pursued advanced training in paediatric and adult sports injuries and trauma, complex orthopaedic trauma with deformity correction in children/limb reconstruction at various tertiary referral centers across the UK, India and Australia. My NHS and Private practice includes all routine and complex paediatric conditions affecting lower limbs including hip, knees, foot and ankle. I specialise in paediatric and young adult sports injuries, trauma, paediatric limb deformities and limb reconstruction. I believe in multidisciplinary practice and always involves parents as well as children in clinical decision making.
I am the Clinical Lead in orthopaedic surgery at Luton and a postgraduate teacher. I am also an invited faculty in various FRCS courses across hospitals in London including King’s College.
I am actively involved in various national research projects in the UK and have a number of publications in peer reviewed journals including the BJJ and EFORT. I have presented my work in national and international meetings including BOA, EFORT and SICOT.
