I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Surgeon. I studied medicine at Leeds University Medical School and went on to complete both basic and higher surgical training in the Yorkshire region. I completed the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr and Orth) in 2011 and was admitted onto the specialist register in 2012. During my training I obtained a Master of Science degree (MSc) within the field of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
I have undertaken two specialist fellowships within Yorkshire. The first was in Harrogate with Mr Nick London concentrating on all aspects of knee surgery. The second fellowship was in York with Mr Nick Carrington and Mr Tony Maury focussing on hip arthroplasty and revision surgery.
I completed my specialist training with a year long fellowship at the world-renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford where I gained experience in all aspects of hip and knee surgery. I am a keen teacher and actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. I hold Senior Lecturer status at the University of Leeds.
