I have been practicing as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, specialising in Upper Limb Surgery since February 2017. My interests are focused around osteoarthritis of the shoulder and joint replacement surgery as well as keyhole surgery on the shoulder.
During my training I achieved a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine as sports related injuries are of particular interest. I also subspecialise in surgery on the elbow, wrist and hand with a particular interest in disorders of nerves and tendons.
I graduated from the University of Manchester and then undertook my initial training at the Royal Preston Hospital before completing my Orthopaedic training in the Mersey region. Towards the end of my training I worked in Wrightington Hospital subspecialising in complex shoulder replacement surgery and then nerve surgery of the upper limb. I then went on to a British Elbow and Shoulder Society recommended fellowship in Chesterfield where I undertook further training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery along with Hand and Wrist surgery.
