Virtual consultations:
I offer a comprehensive foot and ankle service including all operative and nonoperative treatments. I have received training in foot and ankle surgery in Leeds, Bradford and Wirral University Teaching Hospital. I work closely with Chris Parrish, Orthopaedic Podiatrist at Spire Elland Hospital as well as the physiotherapists at Spire Elland Hospital, so that all non operative treatments can be tried before considering surgery.
I qualified from Leeds University medical school in 1996 and did my basic surgical training in Yorkshire. I was appointed as a Specialist registrar in Orthopaedics in 2001 and rotated through several hospitals in West and North Yorkshire. Fellowship training was undertaken in Harrogate and Wirral University Teaching Hospitals and I completed my training in September 2007 and have been on the GMC specialist register for Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery since this date.
I started my NHS Consultant post at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust in April 2008 and has a general trauma practice and my elective practice is exclusively foot and ankle surgery and its associated conditions.
I teach on many regional and national courses and am involved in the training of trainee doctors in the NHS trust and in the Yorkshire region. I am actively involved in audit and research as part of clinical governance within the trust and have several publications in the medical literature.
