I graduated from Andhra University in 1991. I completed higher training in Orthopaedics in 1994 in India. My area of expertise is management of routine and complex foot and ankle conditions. I am competent in performing open and arthroscopic surgical procedures. I provide the tertiary service for complex foot and ankle problems. I provide high-quality services to both Private and NHS patients.
I came to the UK for further education and training and finished my higher surgical training in the Mersey deanery where I was awarded the highest mark for the Mch Orthopaedic Examination in 2001.
I won a prize for a poster on femoral anteversion in infants with hip dysplacia at the EFFORT conference in 2003. I have carried out a research project on plantar pressure measurements following scarf osteotomy for bunion deformity.
The results were presented in the British Foot Society meeting and later published in the journal of Foot and Ankle International. I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS trust as a specialist Foot and Ankle Surgeon in November 2003. I was given practicing privileges at Spire Liverpool Hospital in 2004.
I am a speaker at courses such as the Liverpool Fore Foot course and educational courses such as Mch(Orth) course at Wrightington Hospital. I am also a guest editor at the peer reviewed journal of Strategies in Trauma and Reconstruction. I have had five publications since my appointment to consultant in peer reviewed journals.
