I have been a Podiatric Surgeon for 25 years and a Podiatrist for 40 years. I have a particular interest in the arthropathies and have treated many patients with rheumatoid arthritis. I am interested in forefoot reconstruction and have a Masters Research degree, awarded for an investigation into the diagnosis and treatment of Plantar Fasciitis. I have previously been a faculty board member, examiner and clinical tutor. I have organised clinical conferences and cadaver surgery conferences.
As a Podiatric Surgeon I employ biomechanical theory to my surgical planning. I provide a patient focused service that I have delivered to the local population for over 25 years.
I specialise in forefoot and midfoot surgery: Osteotomies fusions and arthroplasties for the correction of deformity and resolution of pain. I also offer conservative treatments including steroid injections and Orthotics. I have a particular interest in the arthropathies and degenerative joint disease.
I carry out about 75 bunion operations a year and many hundreds of toe surgeries. I also carry out regular fusions to the midfoot and big toe joints, and carry out weekly neuroma resections and multiple metatarsal osteotomies. Over a 25 year period I have carried out many of the above procedures and been responsible for hundreds more carried out by more junior teams under my supervision.
As a Podiatric Surgeon I employ biomechanical theory to my surgical planning. I provide a patient focused service that I have delivered to the local population for over 25 years.
