I have been married for 25 years and have 4 children slowly leaving home ( It went so fast!), and thanks to my 11 year old, Monty a Golden Retriever! I am part of Highfield Church and have several mentoring responsibilities and outside my main hobby (surgery) I love walking in the Lake District and having good food with good friends! I very much enjoy training the juniors in surgery and am currently writing a book on the subject probably called ‘The Three boxes of surgery and how to think outside them to become a better surgeon’. I am an enthusiast and enjoy treating patients with a sense of fun, expertise and most of all reassurance. Having Eye surgery is nowhere near as bad as it sounds!
