I graduated in 1990 and proceeded to my fellowship in foot surgery (podiatry) which I completed after a further seven years of training within a centre of excellence for foot and ankle surgery in the UK. I was appointed as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon in 2005.
I treat a number of foot conditions including disorders of the foot and ankle, flat foot (children and adults) and biomechanics.
I have published over 25 papers in the field of foot and ankle surgery. I am currently involved in doctoral level research at Manchester Metropolitan University, School of Biomedical Sciences.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Stuart Metcalfe at Spire include:
Podiatry
Other treatments
Clinical Head and Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, Department of Podiatric Surgery, Solihull NHS Care Trust

I am dedicated to providing the very highest standard of care for all patients and this drives me to continue to be actively involved in the education and training of all those with an interest in foot pathology. Whilst this makes for a busy life, I am a proud father of twin girls Carys and Phoebe. One can only hope to get the balance right!
